2016 Yiyaju Contemporary Space Annual Art Exhibition

The 2016 Yi&C Contemporary Space Annual Art Exhibition proudly presents the highly acclaimed Chinese ink artist Tai Xiangzhou, showcasing his latest monumental series, Celestial Phenomena. Tai Xiangzhou’s work is distinctive in that it builds upon traditional Chinese ink painting while integrating his extensive studies and observations in astronomy and ancient art. By incorporating the aesthetic structures and inspirations of meteorites, celestial bodies, and the cosmos, his creations open a fresh perspective on Chinese ink painting, conveying a boundless sense of depth and cosmic grandeur, earning significant attention and recognition in the Western art world.

Tai Xiangzhou’s works are held in the collections of numerous museums, academic institutions, and prominent international collectors. Notably, the Art Institute of Chicago, in a historic first, acquired works by a living Asian artist, marking a milestone for Chinese ink painting on the international stage.

The solo exhibition in Taiwan will be held from November 11 to December 10 at Yi&C Contemporary Space, welcoming art enthusiasts and collectors to experience this extraordinary showcase.
