In recent years, Kim Kyung-min, a rising Korean female sculptor, has rapidly gained recognition for her approachable and light-hearted sculptural style infused with an abundant sense of happiness. Her sculptural themes often emerge from a re-examination of everyday life, revealing moments of joy that are easily overlooked in daily routines. Widely acclaimed in Korea, her works have also been warmly received across Asia and are held in the collections of the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Korea, as well as institutions and collectors in Singapore, Hong Kong, and China.

In this exhibition, Kim presents her solo show, The Journey in Search of Happiness, in which she employs a direct and unembellished sculptural language to give form to the beauty of happiness. Yi&C Contemporary Art Space cordially invites you to experience this new wave of Korean contemporary art—a fresh and compelling presence on the global art stage.
