On April 15, one of the annual flagship exhibitions co-curated by Yi Ya Ju, a promoter of lifestyle aesthetics and contemporary art, and New York–based Crossing Collective—“AURA IN NATURE”—is set to make a grand debut! The Poetics of Perception – Painting and Photography Exhibition by Wang Qing-Ping

The first solo exhibition of Wang Qing-Ping, a U.S.-based artist, curated collaboratively by independent curators Mr. Zeng Wenquan and Ms. Li Yanzhen, showcases a total of sixty paintings and photographic works. With a background in philosophy, Wang Qing-Ping’s work inherits the aesthetic spirit of the New York School and Color Field movement, while striving to revive and reimagine beauty within contemporary art.

The 2016 Yi&C Contemporary Space Annual Art Exhibition proudly presents the highly acclaimed Chinese ink artist Tai Xiangzhou, showcasing his latest monumental series, Celestial Phenomena. Tai Xiangzhou’s work is distinctive in that it builds upon traditional Chinese ink painting while integrating his extensive studies and observations in astronomy and ancient art. By incorporating the aesthetic structures and inspirations of meteorites, celestial bodies, and the cosmos, his creations open a fresh perspective on Chinese ink painting, conveying a boundless sense of depth and cosmic grandeur, earning significant attention and recognition in the Western art world.

Korean Contemporary Art Exhibition

Contemporary Korea—particularly in the realms of cultural trends and the arts—possesses a formidable soft power that cannot be overlooked. In celebration of Korea’s National Foundation Day on October 3, Yi&C Gallery, in collaboration with Taipei 101 and the Korean Mission in Taipei, presents the “Korean Contemporary Art Exhibition” to foster cultural exchange between Taiwan and Korea. The exhibition brings together seminal figures from the history of Korean contemporary art alongside a new generation of artists who are rapidly gaining prominence on the international stage. Through sculpture and printmaking, these distinguished artists articulate their unique visual languages, collectively illuminating the vibrant and flourishing landscape of contemporary Korean art.
